In order to reach the target of zero community transmission after the recent outbreak, the NSW Government is urging anyone in the state who has any COVID-19 symptoms, no matter how mild, to get tested immediately and self-isolate until a negative test result is received.

Symptoms include anyone with a cough, a sore or scratchy throat, shortness of breath, loss of taste, loss of smell or a fever (37.5° or higher).

As well as people who have COVID-19 symptoms, there are other people who should get tested. This includes people who have had casual or close contact with a COVID-19 diagnosed person during a specific time period. For detailed information on symptoms, testing and diagnosis, see the NSW Government web page here.
